Built, from Frankfurt to Pag

Facades in Frankfurt and Vienna, a promenade on Pag, konobas, terraces and kitchens across Dalmatia. All of it cut from blocks that came out of our own three quarries and through our own plant.

About the stone

Shells in the stone

A lighter patch up to five centimetres long on a face of Plano is not a stain but the shell of a rudist, the bivalve that built reefs along this coast when it was shallow sea. The stone is 98.27 % calcite, so almost the whole face is one mineral, with no softer veins to wear at a different rate.

About the stone

Why Dolit goes on the promenade

Dolit takes up a fifth of a per cent of water, Plano a whole per cent, and under Böhme they wear at 17.1 against 21.8 cm³ per 50 cm². On a facade that means nothing. On a surface walked all year, washed, salted and frozen, it means everything: less water in the stone is less ice to split it.
