Dalmalit

Dalmalit works the Dolačka ljut field in the hills behind Omiš, some fifty kilometres south-east of Plano. Ljut is the local word for the bare, sharp karst that nothing grows on, and the field is named after it.

Out of it comes Dolit, a warm beige limestone with quiet grey and brown veining. It takes up very little water, so we recommend it wherever stone stays outside all year: promenades, terraces and public spaces.

Polished, the same stone goes indoors: kitchen worktops, cladding and details seen at close range.

The seafront promenade on Pag is laid in Dolit from this field. Public paving by the sea is one of the hardest places to put a limestone: salt, sun, the bora and foot traffic all year.
