Built, from Frankfurt to Pag

Facades in Frankfurt and Vienna, a promenade on Pag, konobas, terraces and kitchens across Dalmatia. All of it sawn from blocks out of our three quarries, in our own plant.

Shells in the stone

The lighter patches up to five centimetres across on a face of Plano are sections through rudist shells, the bivalves that built reefs along this coast when it was shallow sea. The stone is 98.27 % calcite, so it has no softer veins to wear at a different rate from the rest of the face.

Why Dolit goes on the promenade

Dolit takes up a fifth of a per cent of water, Plano a whole per cent, and under Böhme they wear at 17.1 against 21.8 cm³ per 50 cm². On a facade the difference is small. On paving that is walked, washed, salted and frozen it decides how long the stone lasts: less water in the stone means less ice to split it.
